Sweet yeast dumplings

Sweet yeast dumplings are a dessert made of yeast dough whose origin goes back to the Bohemian cuisine.
instructions
melt butter
heat up half of the milk in the microwave let butter melt therein
stir it with other ingredients
Stir egg yolks, salt, lemon aroma and sugar with it Hint: The heated milk should not be boiling hot, otherwise the egg yolks flocculate.
add yeast to flour
add yeast to flour and stir in fluids Consequently stir dough vigorously on highest level approx. 10-15 minutes. Dough shall dispose of a silky, soft but not sticky surface.
let dough prove
Let dough prove for approx. 20 minutes, subsequently stir it once more for five minutes Let dough prove once more for 10 minutes Hint: Avoid cold draught, dough needs consistent heat in order to allow the yeast fungus to develop properly
roll out dough
Roll dough rectangularly as thick as finger onto a slightly floured surface Hint: If dough is arranged rectangularly before rolling out, it is easier to obtain a consistent squared form.
cut dough in stripes
cut dough in four-finger-thick stripes
cut dough in squares
additionally cut stripes in squares
jam
melt a little butter stir jam straight
dab jam onto squares
add a dash of jam onto squares by means of a coffee spoon
put corners together
put corners together and press them firmly
spread pan
spread pan with fat
spread dumplings with fat
put dumplings in one by one spread each dumpling individually with fat in order to be able to detach them one by one after baking
bake sweet dumplings
let dough prove once more for 10 minutes, only then put it into preheated oven and bake
sprinkle with sugar
bake dough 10 minutes at 200° afterwards bake it at 180° approx. 30 minutes sprinkle with sugar
finished sweet dumplings with vanilla sauce
Advice: Can either be served hot with vanilla sauce or cold accompanied by coffee.
