cook apricots
mix stoned apricots with citric acid
put apricots in pot
cook fruits soft on stove
stir constantly
stir fruit puree constantly otherwise it burns
strain apricots
strain apricots through hair sieve
add canning sugar
let it cool off, afterwards add canning sugar
cook apricot jam
put fruit puree in a pot and cook it for approx. 5-8 minutes
test jam
Put one spoon of jam on plate
Advice: jam should gelatinise quickly - if so it is ready!
sterilise lids
pour out lids with boiling water
sterilise glasses
Pour out Twist-off glasses with hot water in order to sterilise them
Pour out water
Advice: Glasses dry off quickly, therefore there is no need to dry them.
fill jam in glasses
withdraw jam from stove
fill jam with help of scoop in glasses
clean rims of glasses
turn jam glasses upside down
close lids and turn glasses upside down
this way air escapes from glasses and glasses get airtight
