Strawberry - rhubarb jam

Sweet strawberries and tart rhubarb can be bought in spring. You can combine them wonderfully. In this recipe, the fruit pieces are boiled down with preserving sugar. It's very easy and quick to prepare. So you have a wonderful spread or a wonderful filling for pastries. The jars, nicely labeled and packaged, are also a nice gift.

prepare rhubarb
Peel the rhubarb with vegetable knife, cut it into small pieces.

prepare strawberries
remove shafts from strawberries, cut them into pieces.
add the sugar
Squeeze the lemon and add the juice to the fruits. Add the preserving sugar and let it rest for a few minutes
boil up jam
Put mixture in pot, cook it. Reduce temperature while stirring for approx. 4 minutes.
poor it into the twist off glasses
Pour the jam into the prepared jamglasses
close glasses
Close the twist off jars with a lid
